Santa Cruz Guerilla Drive-In presents: Waltz With Bashir Waltz with Bashir is a jarring and devastating animated documentary that explores the psychological trauma inflicted by warfare. One night, an old friend tells director Ari Folman about a recurring nightmare. The two men conclude that the dream is connected to their experience in the Israeli army during the first Lebanon War. Ari is surprised that he can't remember a thing about that period of his life. He decides to meet and interview old friends and comrades to discover the truth about that time. Friday March 11th at 8pm at SubRosa, 703 Pacific Avenue across from the Saturn Café (Indoors unless, somehow, the weather is nice enough to be outside!) Always Free! Plus thrilling and funny short films, an intermission, great company and a guaranteed good time! Bring blankets, pillows, anything you need to be comfortable in the great outdoors (or indoors), friends, snacks to share. Donations to support the project are more than welcome.
